The Beginning

At PDL Sport, we're more than just a retailer—we're padel players ourselves.

Like many people, we discovered padel a little over 18 months ago, and what started as trying something new quickly turned into a genuine passion. Before long, we were playing several times a week, constantly looking for ways to improve our game and searching for the right equipment.

That's when we realised something was missing.

There wasn't a place locally where players could walk in, compare rackets, ask questions, get honest advice and leave confident they'd chosen the right equipment. Online, we found ourselves spending hours researching reviews, comparing specifications and ordering from websites overseas, often with long delivery times and very little guidance.

So we set out to create the kind of padel destination we wished we'd had—a welcoming retail store in Blackburn where players could see and experience products in person, alongside an online store offering expert advice, a seamless shopping experience and fast, reliable delivery across the UK.

Built by Players, Backed by Experience

PDL Sport was founded by two lifelong friends, Ishy and Moz, combining years of ecommerce experience with a shared passion for padel.

Ishy is the ideas man—the one who's always looking ahead, making things happen and somehow finding room for 'just one more racket' in his collection. If there's a new piece of kit on the market, chances are he's already trying it.

Moz is the researcher. He loves understanding the technology behind every racket, grip and accessory, spending hours comparing products so customers don't have to. Between the two of us, we balance enthusiasm with careful research, helping players find equipment that genuinely suits their game.
